To all existing Help the Aged insurance customers
As a valued customer of Help the Aged Insurance Services we wanted to let you know about some changes we’ve made.
Firstly, there’s the name change. We’ve over 10 years’ experience in financial services, along with a wealth of knowledge concerning the kind of products mature people need. As a result we felt that our new name, intune, better reflects the services we provide. Of course, we are continuing to maintain our position of ‘no upper age’ limits across our services.
We’ve also changed insurance underwriters, from UKI to Liverpool Victoria Insurance Company Limited. They belong to a mutual organisation and are a perfect fit with Help the Aged and intune. Apart from that, nothing’s changed. You don’t need to do anything apart from renew your insurance. It will just look a little different. Rest assured that you can still expect the same great value and quality of customer service that you’re used to and you’ll be contacted by intune nearer your renewal date.

Every penny of intune’s profits still goes to Help the Aged, allowing them to continue their outstanding work helping disadvantaged older people in the UK and overseas.
Below are a list of frequently asked questions and answers regarding the change:
- What do I need to do now? This is for information only and no action is required by you.We will send your renewal invitation 25 days before your renewal date.This will contain all the information about your new policy.
- What do I do if I need to amend my current policy before my renewal date? Until your next renewal date (when you will receive a renewal invitation from intune) you should continue to refer to the existing insurance supplier. See numbers below.
- What do I do if I need to claim on my current policy before my renewal date? Until your next renewal date (when you will receive a renewal invitation from intune) you should continue to refer to the existing insurance supplier to make a claim under the policy. See numbers below.
- When will I receive my renewal quote from intune? Your renewal invitation will be sent to you 25 days before your current policy is due to expire. This will detail the policy cover and premium being offered by intune for the next year of insurance.
- What should I do once I receive my Renewal Invite? When you are sent your renewal invitation please check the details carefully and if any amendments are required, contact intune on the number provided in your renewal pack.
- Will the cover be the same as my existing policy? We have selected Liverpool Victoria Insurance Company Limited as the new insurer as they offer excellent products at competitive prices. Cover is likely to be better than or matching your existing policy and full details will be sent with your renewal invitation.
- Will the premium change? The renewal invitation will confirm the premium for the forthcoming year. We are confident that the premium offered will be competitive, however as is normally the case with annual policies, the renewal premium is likely to be different to last year’s.
- I have more than one policy with Help the Aged; will they all change over at once? Each policy will move to the new intune policy at its next renewal date. This may mean that you have products with different providers for a while and therefore you will need to contact the appropriate provider to make a claim or to amend your policy. Contact details are issued with each policy.
